Excel services are unable to delegate user credentials
Niel,
The issue can be caused when the Windows Token Service is not running. Please try the following steps to check the status of the Claims to Windows Token Service:
-
In Central Administration, click System Settings.
-
Now click Manage services on the server.
-
Select Claims for Windows Token Service, and click Start to Of the service.
Also verify that the service is running in the Services console. Follow the below steps to do so:
-
In Administrative Tools, click Services.
-
Start the Claims to Windows Token Service if it is not running.
If the above steps do not work, please contact your network administrator to verify the following:
-
The domain controller is available to validate the user identity.
-
The computer is the member of the same domain.
-
Use Windows domain user account.
-
The Excel Services service account must have Active Directory permissions to query the object.
Hope the information is helpful.
Cheers,

Excel services are unable to delegate user credentials
Hi.
There are multiple scenarios for that error. The most common is that Excel Services can`t find a valid Windows user identity. Follow this few steps to fix this:
1) In Central Administration, in System Settings, click Manage services on server.
2) Select Claims to Windows Token Service, and then click Start.
3) Verify the service is also running in the Services console:
4) In Administrative Tools, click Services.
5) Start the Claims to Windows Token Service if it is not running.
