Exchange Server error updating the system and server

Hello,

During the upgrade of Windows Server this error appeared. I have followed the steps below and nothing seems like to work to make the upgrade. Can anyone help me please to fix this error ? What could be the problem with this ?

The Active Directory Schema is not up-to-date and Ldifide.exe is not installed on this computer. You must install Ldifide.exe by opening Windows Powershell. Running “Import-Module ServerManager”. Then running “Add-WindowsFeatures RSAT-ADDS”. Alternately you can restart setup on a domain controller.

Exchange Server error updating the system and server

Hello Carlos,

This is one of the common complaints during upgrade of Exchange servers. This is a classic case when one tries to upgrade without having the AD admin tools installed. The error message is trying to point out the same to you.

So the solution to the problem is to install AD admin tools. Post installation of AD admin tools, restart the server, the update will carry on like it should.
