When I tried to import mp3 files it produced an error “audacity did not recognize the type of this file.” How to use these type of extension?

Explain Audacity Did Not Recognize The Type Of This File Failure

Audacity supports every type of files including mp3 and wav.

If you are facing some problem while importing files then first make sure that those files contain some data. Ensure that they are not shortcutting files. Check out their size because audacity takes a fixed size of data.

Also, scan your files with an antivirus in case they contain a virus.
