The Networking system works efficiently if all of its components are 100% efficient. This system is made up of a lot of devices that work in a functional Congress. The main devices accompanied by their images are given below:

1. Switch: It connects various devices on a network with the use of packet switching. 
2. Gateway: It’s the network node which is used for interfacing amongst the network with different protocols. It can be called as a protocol translator. 
3. Repeater: Repeater is a device which receives signal to retransmit. It is used for long distance network communication.
4. Bridge: Bridge is a electronic networking device which creates a single network from multiple network segments.
5. Modem: It turns the digital codes to sounds over telephone lines and demodulates it back into a form used by Ethernet and network connection.
