Explanation Of Steps To Convert UTC To Local Time

India is 5 hours and 30 minutes ahead of Universal Time coordinated (UTC). It is earlier denoted by GMT(Greenwich Mean Time) in 1972. It is also known as Z time and Zulu time. It is a coordinated time scale maintained by the BIPM(Bureau International des Poids et measures).

To convert the time from UTC to Indian time, you have to add 5 hours and 30 minutes to the UTC zone, and the resultant time will be Indian time.
