Why can't my laptop detect the other monitor when I tried to use an LCD projector for a presentation? I use a Linux OS.

Extended Desktop For Seminar Set Up

Dual-monitor is better regardless if you are using a desktop or a laptop than buying another whole system for the same purpose. Let us say you just need to use the second monitor for others to see your work without having to crowd around you while you explain things, it will be much easier for you and for your viewers to have a second monitor to look at.
