Yesterday when I was just looking up my external HDD’s properties, the following error window appeared.
At first I liked to consider that as a bug.
But from various forum postings I came to realize this is something with my Ubuntu 12.04 (64-bit). As I am not an expert I can’t fix it up.
Please help me.
There was an error while getting the sharing information
'net usershare' returned error 255: net usershare: cannot open usershare
directory/var/lib/samba/usershares. Error No file directory
Please ask your system administrator to enable user sharing.

Now save it and restart Samba by using
I hope it will work.
Thanks.
