Extraction Failed Cannot Open Output File Then closes Printer issue

I have a HP Photosmart C4385 printer and I want to install the latest drivers for it. I finish the download, but when I’m trying to extract, I get this error message when I am about 85% of it:

“Extraction Failed Cannot Open Output File” Then, the whole process is closing.

I tried to call HP but the printer is out of warranty and they asked me for money. So I am asking you for a solution to my problem, if you can help then I will be indebted to you.

Extraction Failed Cannot Open Output File Then closes Printer issue

You did not mention what operating system you are using. If you received an “Extraction failed cannot open output file” error when you tried extracting the downloaded file that was supposed to contain the drivers for your HP PhotoSmart C4385 printer, it is possible that the download is incomplete.

But if you are sure that the file was completely downloaded, then maybe the archive was originally broken even before you downloaded it. This error is common to archived or zipped files that were not completely downloaded or already broken.

Try updating your printer’s driver by visiting this site. Click on the Download button. This update includes fix and enhancement on the original driver and on installing in HP Mini Notebook PCs.

Hi,

As per the description given by you regarding the problem it seems like that that you have downloaded a corrupted file or a zip file. In order to download the official HP driver you should visit to the official HP driver website
