Facing 0x80244007 Error While Updating To WSUS

0x80244007 error is a Windows Server Update Service (WSUS) error when the computer tries to scan for updates on the WSUS server. The cause of the error is the cookies for the Windows Update expire on the computer. In this scenario, Windows cannot scan for updates. Additionally, error code 0x80244007 is generated. The steps to resolve this issue is to install update rollup 2883201. Some other methods to fix this error are as follows:

Method 1:

Delete the content of the Software Distribution folder.
Step 1: Right-click on the Windows key and select Command Prompt as an admin.
Step 2: Click on the “Yes” on the pop-up window.
Step 3: Write the following commands:
net stop wuauserv
del
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\DataStore.edb
Net start wuauserv
wuauclt /detectnow

Method 2:

Update Windows again.
Method 3: System restore feature.
Step 1: Go to the Start option and select All Programs -> Accessories -> System tools.
Step 2: Click on the System Restore.
Step 3: Restore the computer to a previous state.
