Fatal error shown with DirectDraw

Hello experts,

I am getting this error message when try to start this new DirectDraw and shows “Failed to initialize DirectDraw. RESULT_SURFACE_FAIL CreateSurface Windowed Primary: SSERR_NOEXCLUSIVEMODE”.

Have any idea what is this? I want resolution to fix it ASAP.

Thanks for any suggestion.

Fatal error shown with DirectDraw

Hi Erin,

This is a common error with the ATI software. You need to verify by going into Control Panel > Programs and checking if you have Catalyst 10.5 installed on your machine. You can verify the Catalyst version by going into the Information Centre. This is apparently a known error and happens if you do not have Catalyst 10.5 installed and your program updates to the latest version.
