Remember the outlook express resize feature for pictures? This was actually able to make the picture attached to an email smaller, by selecting the right options. The question is, how can this be done in outlook?

Hello,

I understand your question and I will try to give the required answer. If you are using outlook express and you want to attach a picture with resized features, then follow these steps:

1-Open Outlook express.

2-On the very right side of the writing page of outlook press the ""Insert an image" tab then adjust the spacing of the required image and press ok. You can also do this manually after inserting the required image.

Hi Janet,

So in Outlook 2007 or 2003 there are 2 ways of attaching an image. Either you show it on the body of the email or you will attach the file itself. If you are asking about attaching a file then this feature that you are talking about may not be available and you may only change the size of it using the files program; i.e. . JPEG file in Paint etc.… However if you just want to resize the image on the body of your message all you have to do is double click the image and a Picture ( Outlook 2007) or Drawing (Outlook 2003) tool will show up. Using this tool you can Crop, Resize, add Style (2007), Compress and etc.…

Hope this helps! Oh! By the way, the compress feature reduces the size of the Image.
