Hello everyone, I want to know the features and characteristics of newly released OTP R16. Recently I came to know that the OTP R16A has been released. I actually want to know about the new features, characteristics and Also some minor incompatibilities of OTP R16. Can anybody tell me how can I generate OTP R16?

I need a genuine solution to this problem. Thank you.

Features and characteristics of newly released OTP R16

Hello Mr. Julio,

On February 27th The Erlang/OTP R16A is a beta released before R16B. It has a number of new features, characteristics and some minor incompatibilities.

Some features:

New internal port table allowing for both parallel reads and writes.

Dynamic allocation of port structures.

Major rewrite of scheduling of port tasks.
