I have reinstalled Windows Pro XP. But, there is no sound in Media Player.
When I am attempting to play a song from the playlist, an error shows ‘The file cannot be played’.
It displays that some problem with sound controller or sound card.
Please help me to figure out the problem.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Jane
Windows Pro XP would not able to find sound manager to operate. you should install the sound files to use. That you can get from your genuine Motherboard disk. There is no other option to play songs in your PC.
1. Motherboard disk have to put inside on your computer then found the sound manager or audio device.
2. On the basis of your choice you need to explore this device. Found the set up or exe file on the performing files.
Then set up the files. if you want, you will install the music players to like best.
Thanks

Hello,
Hope you are doing great!
Since you have reinstalled Windows Pro XP so all the drivers needs to be installed again from the cd’s which you have received when you have purchased your computer.
1. Right click on My Computer icon and click on properties.
2. Under properties, go to Hardware and click Device Manager.
3. In device manger you would be able to see Sound, Video option.
4. Click on that and if those are not installed correct then it would some type of “!” or “?” mark in the icon.
Take out your drivers/ Motherboard cd and install all the sound drivers and if this is already done then go to sound settings which can be accessed from Control panel and make sure everything is in order.
Installing a driver would definitely solve your problem.
