My computer runs with Windows XP SP2 and the RAM size is 2GB. The motherboard is Foxconn G31.
Every time I am trying to open Windows Media Player an error message pops up. ‘The File wmp.dll has , problems’. Also I am not able to install Media Player 9 because of the error ‘Latest version is already installed’ and got quit.
Please help me to fix the problem.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Mr. Oaklee,
It looks like your Windows XP machine is somehow confused with the version of your WMP that causes the wmp.dll error.
Please Follow This Steps to Solve The Problem:
Either choose among the Solution. If the error is still there try the other one.
Solution 1
1. Go to Start Menu (START button at the leftmost part of the TaskBar)
2. Type "Run" w/out quotation mark on the search box and hit ENTER on your keyboard.
3. Type "regsvr32 wmp.dll" w/out quotation mark in the box and hit Enter.
4. Done!
Solution 2
1. Go to Start Menu (START button at the leftmost part of the TaskBar)
2. Type "Run" w/out quotation mark on the search box and hit ENTER on your keyboard.
3. Type "c:windowsinfunregmp2.exe /UpdateWMP"Â Â w/out quotation mark in the box and hit Enter.
4. Done!
