Find all duplicate files in PC

I have a windows 8.1 pc and I recently noticed that many of my files exist as duplicates. It gives me a hard time to locate a duplicate and eventually delete it. Is there a way I can search for a duplicate file on Windows OS manually? If yes, how is it done? I need your help guys.

Find all duplicate files in PC

Usually window will not provide any solution for checking duplicate files. It is better to use software for dupli checker and get rid of unnecessary and unwanted duplicate files.

 

For this, I am using 'DigitalVolcano's Duplicate cleaner free' software and suggest you to use it. 

It is the best free software with simple operating system. 

Just scan the drives on your computer from which you want to remove duplicate files and after the scan all files will be listed in the software. Select all and delete all the extra files in just one click.

 

Other softwares are:

Auslogics duplicate finder

Duplicate cleaner free

It is a very tiresome job to search manually and remove all duplicate files from our computer. These duplicate files occupy a lot of our computer memory and increase our back up. Therefore, it is best to delete such files, photos, videos, music, etc., and free memory and speed up our computer performance.

Dupeguru is the best software for this. It comes in three versions, DupeGuru, DupeGuru Music and DupeGuru Pictures edition.

The music and picture edition are specialized to find any music and picture duplicates by removing them from different MP3 files or if any photo is saved again after editing.

It uses Fuzzy match algorithm.

 

Just the DupeGuru is an open source. It is simple and easy to use.

Open it, add the folders or even drives you want to check for the duplicates.

It scans through them and displays a list of items. You can select them and delete. You can even view the file by double clicking on it.
