Find the traffic flow for my company

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for software that could perform an ongoing analysis of the In/Out traffic of my company to the Internet. The analysis I have so far allows me to manage switches of port mirroring through a server with enough available network interfaces. What I am looking for right now is something that will give me an analysis that would show even the last minutes of network usage at a glance. It should be able to generate a detailed network usage for a certain period of time.

It should also be able to collect the data and be ready for viewing when prompted and should be accessible. Ntop seemed to have all these features but I think it’s execution is pretty raw. I would like to know if I have other options than Ntop preferably the ones that is compatible with Linux.

I hope you can help me with my situation.

Hello Febi Mike,

I will suggest that your try another program called the opmanager, which will offer you end to end monitoring of the network usage and apart from that it also offers very advanced fault and performance management mechanisms across very important resources that you use on the network like the routers, switches, servers and many others.

The opManager has an interface that is so easy to use which is user friendly and therefore you will not have trouble when it comes to learning how to use it because it is a program that you can just teach yourself how to use without requiring to go through a lot of tutorials.
