Hello, I'm curious as to how I find out the type of graphics card I have. The previous owner of the computer did not have any information about the computer and I can't find it online. Is there a way I can find out via the computer, through My Computer or such?

Find type of graphics card
Hello There
Sure you can, on your desktop, right click your mouse and click at the bottom properties, then a program window opens which is named as display properties. Next click on the settings and then click Advanced, again a program window opens named as Plug and Play monitor and in that click Adapter, you will know your video card as well as its memory size.
Thanks.

Find type of graphics card
To find out the type of graphics card you have to go to Run. If you're using Windows XP,then go to the start menu then open run. Or, if you're using Windows Vista or Windows 7, go to the Search box. After open the "Run" write "dxdiag" and then click Enter. A box will come. Click the "yes" button. When the box come, click on the "display" and if you have graphics card,it will show the information of your graphics card.

"Dxdiag" is the Microsoft's multimedia test program, which will identify your graphics card or chip set.If you already have a graphics driver installed, you can use this to identify the card via the driver name.
