The finder cannot complete the operation

Hello,

I've just upgraded to a larger Verbatim external drive and I get the following error message when I go to take files off my existing external drive across to it. I am using Mac Operating System and trying to search a solution. Can I fix this error ASAP.

The finder cannot complete the operation

Hello Michael A Fisher,

It seems that there is a problem with "and 1 mixtape Vol 6. mpg". For the finding process to be complete, you have to change the properties to the .mpg file into readable. How you do that? Go to the file properties and on the General tab you will find some boxes to check. Check that one with read-only.
