Fingerprint Sensor Not Working

My fingerprint scanner has stopped working suddenly. It shows, “Fingerprint scanner not working, try again later.” This began as a sporadic error however recurrence has made it an issue. I’ve rebooted my phone several times and cleaned the area, but it’s not helping. Is there anything I can do to fix it or is it a hardware issue?

Most devices don’t really have a hardware issue as most people think. You can possibly solve this by modifying the lock time in the settings.

Try updating your phone programming. It is very conceivable you missed significant applications overhauls which drove your phone scanner to breakdown. Assuming, contrariwise, your mobile quit working in the wake of updating, come back to the previous version.

If the above method doesn’t work, wet (not soggy!) a cotton ball with alcohol, and wipe the surface. Clean it dry and check if the scanner started working. Try using the button with dry fingers.

Fingerprint gestures usually don’t affect the sensor directly, but it can possibly cause an issue on your phone. You should disable it completely, and check if your phone is responding to your touch as it is supposed to.
