My backup browsers are Firefox 7.0 and Internet Explorer 8. Installation works in Firefox but when computer restarts another installation required. While attempting Internet Explorer installation I get error message “Failed to register” and citing problems in ActiveX Control. Flash player working properly. Tried various methods to fix the problem but failed. I have also problem in Quick time installation. Installation error: “Error 46: Could not load or find the QuickTime ActiveX control" message” How these problems would be solved?
Firefox 7.0 and Internet Explorer 8
If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, you will need to follow the steps below to fix that issue:
-
You will first of all need to download subinacl.msi from the link: and then you will install it.
-
You will then need to download the modified version of reset cmd from the site:
-
Save the file in the following location on your computer: 'C:Program FilesWindows Resource KitsTools'.
-
You will then open the Command Prompt and then type the following without the quotes and the press Enter on your keyboard: 'CD c:program fileswindows resource kitstools'
-
The next step will be to type 'reset. cmd' and then hit Enter (do not include quotes)
Once you have done that, you should be able to see the Command Line Tool running for some seconds, and that shows the issue should have been fixed successfully and QuickTime should be able to run again.
