My younger brother wanted to setup Fix-it Utilities 11 on his PC and this installation error 1606 appeared on the screen when the setup was searching for the amount of hard disk storage available.
The error 1606 was not able to reach connection location and a dialog box containing "retry and cancel" appeared.
I tried to do it for him but the same thing happened. I selected the retry box but it still didn't work.
What can I do to solve the problem?
Thank you.

Following the uninstall make certain you check the install directory at C:Program FilesAvanquest  (the default installation directory) for any remaining files or folders.
Delete any files and folders that you find.
