This error happens when you are installing Microsoft Office from a network drive or an optical drive and the source got disconnected. If you are installing Microsoft Office from a network drive like from another computer on a local area network, try copying the installation source to your local hard drive and initiate the installation from there.
If you are installing Microsoft Office from a CD or DVD, make sure your optical drive is connected properly. Shut down your computer and open the CPU case. Check the cables connected to your optical drive. Make sure the ribbon cable or the control cable is securely connected to the optical drive. Disconnect the power supply cable from the drive and replace it with the other power supply cable.
When you are finished, start the CPU then press DEL to go to the BIOS. In the BIOS, go to the storage section and detect the optical drive. Make sure the optical drive is detected successfully. Save any changes then exit. Restart the installation of Microsoft Office then see if it works.
