Windows 7 is one of the latest operating systems with several features and improved version of VISTA. It uses a lot of space which might lead to not responding error. How to fix not responding error?
Fix Not Responding Error To Make Your Operating System Work Fast.
You can solve this error by following methods:
1) SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
• Windows 7 requires lot of space and resources. If this version is installed on a system with fewer configurations than required then it becomes slow and gives the not responding message.
• Ensure you have the correct system configuration.
2) VIRUS AND MALWARE
• Virus enters the system through Internet or spam emails. Malware makes the system slower and the available space is used by unwanted programs. The best way is to install anti-virus programs and carry out the system scan.
3) MULTIPLE PROGRAMS WORKING SIMULTANEOUSLY
• Open start menu.
• In the search box type msconfig.
• Go to General tab and click Selective startup.
• Remove the items and click on services tab.
• Disable the hide all Microsoft services feature.
4) CHECK THE INDEXING OPTION
• It is an inbuilt feature of Windows 7 to index the files according to their creation.
This may sometimes make it slow resulting in not responding error.
• To solve this:
• Open start menu.
• In search box type index.
• A window will appear displaying the indexing options.
• Select ‘modify and clear all the boxes’.
5) SESSION MANAGER
• Go to start menu and type services.
• Right-click on desktop window session manager and disable it.
