Hi,
I recently installed a new Windows 2008 R2 server. While trying to install PowerCLI I receive the warning “To fix this, you have to delete the following Registry key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432NodeVMware, Inc. And press retry.” I can finish installing PowerCLI without receiving any errors.
Can someone help me with this warning?
To fix this, you have to delete the following Registry key
Hi,
The error you are getting is as a result of a problem with the registry entries. There could be some registry entries on your computer that are causing that problem and therefore you will need to get rid of them completely.
The following is the registry entry that you will need to locate on your computer and delete it:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432NodeVMware, Inc.
After you have deleted it successfully, you will need to press retry. After that the PowerCLI setup should finish successfully without bringing the issues that you are getting right now. So try this process.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Carl
