Flash builder error installing some plug-ins

Hi there,

I cannot install Flash Builder plug-ins because of this error that appears every time I try to do so. I have contacted the support from Adobe and it passed almost 2 weeks and no answer from them. Can I get some help from you experts ? What I did wrong ?

Hi,

This error code indicates the generic failure happened during execution of commands. It generally popped up when installation is finished including some error.  Some of the basic error-handling techniques are as follows:

  1. Restart computer in “modified mode” or “repair” Microsoft Windows Installer and reinstall the Creative Suite.
  2. Look over install log file for “Exit 6”: There you can find a screen “There are problem with your installation”, just after summery information. Analyze the solutions associated for every specific kind of error as listed below (from Adobe support website)-

    • Unable to preserve owner and group of <filepath>
    • Unable to restore permissions of "<filepath>" to <mode>
    • Unable to copy file from "<source>" to "<destination>"
    • Unable to set owner and group of <filepath> to <uid> and <gid>
    • Unable to delete directory <path>
    • Unable to set permissions of "<filepath>" to <mode>
    • Unable to get permissions of <path>
    • Unable to preserve owner and group of <path>
