Flash drive boot in hp pro book

Hi,

I am using HP Pro book . I want to install operating system on it. I have made bootable flash drive for this purpose. But now i do not know how to boot form flash drive. If anyone know the procedure of Flash drive boot in hp pro book then tell me how may i proceed.

Hello, Good day!

Your USB and book are ready for installment yes? So you need to set up your bios that your USB must be booted for the next boot of your book. Using HP book you can press F8 for setup of booting. F10 is the bios set up. You can use F8 for the booting you can control here what drive will you use to boot the computer so press F8 then select you bootable USB.

Then enjoy formatting.

Hello Kristi,

These are the steps you must follow:

1. You must change the bios boot order, this will list the USB device option first.

2. Plug in your USB.

3. Restart your Pro book.

4. Now see for the message "press any key to boot from external device".

5. Your laptop must boot now from USB device.

in the bios you need to check system configuration– port options and make sure usb port is enabled

then in system configuration–device configurations make sure usb legacy support is enabled

for the boot menu its either escape then f9 as it boots or just f9
