I am Flight Simulator X on Windows 7.After installation service pack I am getting some sort of error.

The error says, " This graphics card does not meet minimum requirements for Shader support.

This product requires a geForce3/Radeon8500 class or better graphics card.

Flight Simulator will now exit.

Yes. There is a  solution to this problem.

The solution is to update your drivers.

The graphics card driver must get updated and then the game will be running without any difficulties.

If you haven't any driver, then download a driver from your graphics card manufacturer or computer manufacturer's website.

If you don't have a driver, then the graphics card will be of no use. A driver is a code that integrates the hardware and software.

So, you must download a driver and install it to get your simulator working smoothly.

I think here, it is not your video card's driver that the game is complaining about. It is the video card itself.

It is the video card itself. Even if you update its driver it still won’t play your game because physically your video card doesn’t support the minimum requirements for shader support. You need to replace your video card with the one that supports the shader component.

You may follow the suggested brand of graphics adapter or which you prefer. Almost all of the video cards that are released today support this component.

But to make sure that you won’t get wrong in buying the right kind, ask the store salesman on the type you need.
