I currently have the Windows 8 installed on my computer. I want to now upgrade to Windows 8.1 using a Microsoft Windows 8 update patch. Please tell me how to do it.

Free Microsoft Windows 8 Update Wizard

If you open the update centre of your computer, you can see an update named KB2919355 among the pending updates. This is the update for upgrading to Microsoft Windows 8.1

Manual installation.

1. Connect to the internet. Go to Windows update.
2. Check for new updates.
3. If there is an update the Windows wizard will download and install it.
4. Restart your computer.

Automatic installation.

1. Go to your update centre settings.
2. Go to Windows update and recovery settings
3. Select the option to download and install updates automatically.
