General error occurred when RealPlayer tried to play downloaded files

Hello,       

I have a problem using RealPlayer because an error message occurs when I try to play downloaded files in RealPlayer.

The error says “A General Error occurred”.

I have tried to reinstall the application but no resolution now I need your assistance to fix it immediately.

General error occurred when RealPlayer tried to play downloaded files

It seems that you are trying to play a file that's tagged as "threat". Simply try not to play it since it is recognized as dangerous. You might want to think about where you downloaded this file and if it is safe. You can try another nice player called VLC Player. It can be downloaded here.

Another good free media player is SPlayer. It's very lightweight and supports a wide range of formats.
