A general system error occurred

Hi Experts,

While installing VMware Tools I received an error message. The screenshot of the error message is as under.

I have no idea for the internal error. If you have any idea for the internal error, please help me to install it.

A general system error occurred

Hello,

The " A general system error occurred: Internal error." message is very generic and does not reveal the actual problem. The windows.iso is available within the /vmimages/tools-iso/ folder of the ESX host.

You have to check the license period of the VMware. If it is licensed then reinstall it after rebooting your computer. Thank you.

A general system error occurred

Dear Joelabrame,

The main reason for this error is that VMware is unable to determine the suitable tools needs to be installed to configure settings for guest operating system, as the type of this operating system could not be determined, so you can avoid this problem or error message by making sure that VM shell has adjusted the suitable operating system for the guest operating system.
