My Moto G will get the latest Android Update. I was wondering if there would be Gesture support with it or not. Would I be able to change music, view pictures with just the motion of a hand. I also wanted to know that, Gesture technology depends upon hardware or software or both. If Android L supports gestures, will moto g support or not?
Gesture support in Android Lollipop 5.0
Android 4.4 KitKat, I guess, is still the latest official version for the Android operating system until Google releases the final build for Android L or Android 5.0 Lollipop. Android Lollipop is currently available only on selected mobile phones like the Nexus 5 and 7 which have had early access to the early builds since June 26.
Google said, it will be available for the Nexus 4, 5, 7, 10, and other Google Play edition devices probably around November of this year or earlier. Meanwhile, HTC has already been in contact and said they will be rolling out updates for the HTC One [M8] and the HTC One [M7] within 90 days after receiving the final build of Android Lollipop from Google.
Motorola verified that Android Lollipop will be available soon for the Moto X. OnePlus also said that Android Lollipop will be available for their OnePlus One within 3 months after Google released the final build. In Android Lollipop, the notifications are getting an overhaul that’s why only the more important information regarding your apps is being presented.
The operating system can now be adjusted to only display the notifications from the most important people and applications during night time or during an important meeting. The notification panel is now being combined with the lockscreen so you can see what’s happening when you pick up your phone and simply swiping it up will take you into the phone.
