How to prevent AutoRun Virus?
Hello! Dear Sam,         Â
By turning off the autoplay of all drives helps you to prevent the autorun virus. I think this is quite enough to prevent this virus from attacking your computer. There is another way to prevent your computer from this virus completely. I will tell you the way in which you can be 100% sure to get a remedy from this virus. For doing so, you need to follow the steps described below.
1. Go to your Start menu>>>click Run option>>>>type "regedit" there and run it.
2. Now in new Windows find out the [HKEY_USERS] in the left portion. There is a submenu named .DEFAULT.
3. Now go to Software>>>> Microsoft>>>> Windows>>>> Current Version>>>>Policies>>>>Explorer.
The total path is like [HKEY_USERS.DEFAULTSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesExplorer].
Now in the right side window you get NoDriveTypeAutoRun. Double click on this. Set the value to off, click ok and now your computer is autorun free.
Hope you get my words. Do this as I said. In this way you can keep your computer totally autorun free.

How to prevent AutoRun Virus?
Hi! Sam,
Autorun.inf is a terrible virus so it's a good thing that we know how to prevent this virus from getting in to our system. So first of all, you need to make sure that your pen drive doesn't have a virus or you may install an Antivirus. I suggest that you make use of Microsoft Essentials, it's free, fast, reliable, and utilizes less memory. However this Anti-virus requires you to have a licensed OS with any kind of Windows. Anyway, give it a try.
So here's another solution to stop that dreadful virus, follow the instructions below:
We could use a policy for inbuilt Windows group that could assist us effectively. Usually viruses open with autorun so this would solve the issue.
1. Open the Run command by pressing Ctrl+R, type gpedit.msc and then click OK.
2. Then a pop-up window will appear, you should click on Administrative Templates, and click on System.
3. Next, scroll downward at the right part of the window and locate Turn Off Auto play.
4. Double-click it and a pop-up window will be shown. Enable it . Just under it, select Turn off Auto play and also select the other drives and click OK.
Now autorun virus will not be able to run in your system automatically.
Regards,
Floyd.
