Hi,

I got the warning error message when trying to visit the dropbox.com that may harm the computer. What does it mean and why did I get this error? Do you have any idea to fix it or another trusted website link? I would be grateful to you. Thanks in advance.

Hi Isaac,

The error is usually caused because of corrupt Registry files, Malware, viruses or damaged data in the drop box. This usually happens when the computer is not properly maintained.

In order to fix the issue, download and run the Dropbox Repair Tool.

You should be good to go.

The problem you encounter is something to do with the malicious software that trying to harm and access your computer. Once it's activated, malicious software can steal identity and information that can ruin and slow down your computer. It is recommendable that you don’t click or access the website if prompted with such error. In addition, to resolve this kind of issue, please try these several solutions.

Option 1: Through the Google’s free Webmaster Tools, please ensure that you register and verify your site.

Option 2: Through logging in to Webmaster Tools, check the Security Issues section that shows the detailed description of infected URLs.

Option 3: Remove all the malicious content from the site.
