Mac OS X will end soon as Apple will redefine its OS and will use the app-centric user experience model to attract more user as the iPhone was successful.

What advantages and features will OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion introduce that will stand out from previous OS?

OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion features are a new Messages app, which essentially a re-skinned version of iChat that has iMessage support, updated its Xcode 4.4 developer tools to build number 4F155i, updated compiler, improvements to AppKit support and improved code completion.

I think you are planning on upgrading your operating system to the new Mac OS X Mountain Lion.

It was set to be released in July of last year, 2012, for $19.99 on Mac App Store.

This new version includes over 200 new features and you can now send iMessages from your Macintosh computer to an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or to another Macintosh computer.

If you want to do a backup of your present system in case something goes wrong after installing the new version, you may consider cloning your hard drive so you can fully restore it to its original state.
