Hi!
I tested Chrome browser from Google at my friend’s PC. I like it very much. When at home, I tried to install it to use. It gave me this error:
Chrome.exe- Application Error
The instruction at “0x011314df” referenced memory at “0x24418bf7”. The memory could not be “read”.
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
OK Cancel
I tried the installation many times ,but in vain. I do not have installer as the Google does something tricky with the installation of Chrome. The actual file is very small, in hundreds of kb. While running the installer, the installation takes a lot of time and won’t get completed in absence of net connection. After completion of installation, whenever I try to click the Chrome icon to start browsing, error flashes.
Any suggestion about solving this issue?
Google Chrome Not running issue
Hello Sweetee!
This problem can be caused by the antivirus application that is installed in your computer. Some antivirus like Norton 360, Symantec etc. possess high security levels that should be modified. It takes lengthy operation. Better use Avast antivirus which is much compatible with Google Chrome. There is another short possible way by which you can solve this problem.
Follow the steps:
-
Open the properties of Google Chrome software placed as desktop shortcut by right clicking onto it and select properties.
-
Select the shortcut tab and see on target box
-
Replace –no-sandbox OR–in-process-plugins by written dashes which usually doesn’t exist.
-
Press ok and run Google Chrome as previous.
Hope this will work.
Google Chrome Not running issue
This is compatibility issue of Google chrome. If you are using windows 2000 or previous versions to xp it will not work. Google chrome is compatible with only Windows 8/7/Vista/XP.
