Google Chrome Path Access Error

Hi there!

I using Chrome. I tried to save data in the Chrome default storage folder that was in the admin panel. When I clicked the save button,  I received an error telling me that I am not authorized to access this folder of Chrome. If I have to use this folder,  then I will have to move the default folder to one of the three locations it has suggested.

You don’t have enough default access right of this folder, Chrome Plus cannot be executed correctly. Error Code=-97

Please move the folder of Chrome Plus to one of the following folders:

  1. Your user folder (e.g. C:useryouLoginName)
  2. Public user folder (e.g. C:usersPublic)
  3. Non-system drive (e.g. D:)

Press No button to exit; press yes button to continue running in this folder;

Error info:

C:Program Files (x86)Chrome Pluschrome.exe

CSIDL_APPDATA=C:UsersTylerAppDataRoaming

User Path=C:UsersTyler

I am only a user and I don’t have admin permission to access any admin folder. So,  now I am looking for a solution from friends to tell me how can I use the same default folder without  admin permission. If anyone can help me out,  I will be very thankful.

Hi Meckoy!

This  is not a severe problem. You can easily  resolve this problem by the following:

  • First, you have to Go to firewall. Click on  the settings
  • Then click on the   program permissions button
  • Then you have to Go to Google Chrome
  • Then you need to  click delete button
  • You can see add button option and click on it
  • Then you have to Explore for the Google chrome.exe
  • Then finally click on the  Add the program
  • Restart your computer, wait for a while

After opening your windows,  try to access Google Chrome again. I hope this problem will be solved.
