Google Chrome Profile Version Error. Error message

Does anyone know why am I receiving these profile errors again and again from Chrome?

I had installed an update on my recent Chrome. After updating, it didn’t work.

So I installed the previous version of Google Chrome.

Now, I am continuously receiving this profile error message:

 

 

Google Chrome

 

Your profile can not be used because it is from a newer version of Google Chrome.

 

Some features may be unavailable. Please specify a different profile directory or use a newer version of Chrome.

 

I haven’t installed any corrupt version. I have just installed the version which is a bit older then. Why does it say that the profile is from a newer version. Why this version doesn’t support the profile of a latest version?

 

I want some perfect answers and a quick solution on how to end this error message.

 

If anyone has any idea regarding this, please tell me. As I have been through this situation for 14 days and can't bear it anymore.

Google Chrome Profile Version Error. Error message

Here is what I did to solve the problem:

• Go to your home folder/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/Default and delete the Web data file. Now restart Chrome. It should work perfectly. 

 

If still doesn't work, try these:

 

• Click to open your Users folder,
• Then open the folder for your current user, say "Tom", open "Tom" folder,
• Then open the Library folder.
• Open Application Supper folder;
• Find Google folder (if you want to be sure to get the right one, click to open it, there should be Chrome sub-folder in it);
• Delete this Google folder and all folders inside it.
• Restart Chrome;

 

You can enjoy Chrome again without that annoying message!

 

Note: These Folders might be hidden.

Hi Menrak!

 

There are some ways to resolve this issue. One of them is to uninstall the current Google Chrome that you have. Tendency is, you will lose all your bookmarks and browsing history.

 

• Another is to do the following steps: Show hidden files by.
• Click the Start button.
• Type in "folder options" in the search box.
• On the folder options windows, click the "view" tab.
• Select on " Show hidden files, folders and drives".
• Open a Windows Explorer and browse c:Users(yourusername)AppDataLocalGoogleChromeUser DataDefault.
• Look for "Web Data" and remove/delete it.
• Try to get online using Google Chrome again.
