I was thrilled to learn that you can now use Google Maps offline.
They have updated it with offline caching of data. This is great especially if data coverage is not available at certain areas.
However, will you still be able to zoom into the city and look for small streets and specific landmarks?

Now the mapping when Google maps work offline is not just macro-level mapping but you can still zoom into the city and look for small streets and specific landmarks.
Google is also coming with their 3D modeling and to give their users a realistic flavor they have used airplanes to fly over the metros to capture photos and using oblique mapping together makes it possible for the users to have much more realistic mapping than the past.

Hi Dallas,
Thanks for posting your queries here. Google map is very advantageous to locate places that you are unfamiliar with. Your question is if we can accessed Google map even if offline.
This too good to be true. Yes but very soon Google is still working on it to have Google map application that can locate places even work offline with no WiFi or network. User will download the specific area in advance and this will able them to zoom and identify specific streets.
How nice isn't it?

Hello Dalla Corey,
I am also excited also about that but Google is still working on it. I cant wait for it and I am very excited. I am always traveling in different places and this could be very helpful to me. There are rumors that it will be updated by Google this year that kind of application.
With regards,
Maxine
