I tried starting QuickBooks, but an error message popped up in my screen (see screenshot below).Â
I tried reinstalling QuickBooks since I started experiencing the error when my laptop battery got drained and turned off.Â
Anyway, I tried reinstalling but I got the same error message.Â
I really didn’t know what to do next.Â
Any advice on how to fix the problem?

Got an error while starting QuickBooks

Hi,
It seems that the unexpected shutdown has corrupted your program.
Before reporting the issue to INTUIT, and pay them lets first check some very small details, which may help in resolving the issue.
1-Â Â Â Â Â Open the services tab, by typing the command on RUN tab: services.msc
2-Â Â Â Â Â On the services tab, locate the services for quick book, and Stop and start them
3-Â Â Â Â Â Now try opening the program, if it is open, then good, otherwise proceed to serial 4
4-Â Â Â Â Â Now enter windows, closeall- file-utilities and rebuild.
5-Â Â Â Â Â If the problem is still NOT resolved, then delete QWBIN.LOG in the QB program, and then rebuild again as mentioned in serial 4
6-Â Â Â Â Â Then open this log in WordPad to check the different errors mentioned on this log and act accordingly. If you are still not able to resolve, then you have to refer to INTUIT
