Hi
I was updating Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware software to the PCs in our offices when I got this error message in one of the PC’s.
Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
An error has occurred. Please report this error code to our support team.
MBAM_ERROR_UPDATEING (12007, 0, WinHttpSendRequest)
I tried re-updating, but I still got the same error message.
The error didn’t happen to the other PC’s only to two (2) PC’s. I wondered what could be wrong with these two.
I then tried re-installing MBAM but when it started re-updating the error didn’t go away.
Any advice on how to fix the problem?
Hope you can help me.

Got an error while updating Malwarebytes Anti-Malware software
Hi,
This is a common error when we cannot update our malware byte program continually.
This is an error for a specific database.
You want to download from the website a “mbam rules.exe”.
Firstly download this update and save to your hard disk. After download is complete, double click on it exe file. Run setup update wizard step by step.
After completing the setup, your malware byte will run correctly and give no error.
Second, if this will not help then try this solution:-
1. First uninstall “malware byte”.
2. Restart your computer.
3. install a fresh copy of malware byte.
4. Run update successfully.

Hi,
If your operating system is Windows Vista or Windows 7 just simply go to the start menu just click that and then just press the Alt key to your keyboard and then just simply click the tools just select the folders Options and then just simply click the View tab.
Then make sure that the show hidden files and folder is selected as a Hidden files and folders just check on that and then uncheck the box and next to hide extensions from the known files types and then after that just simply click the apply and then just simply click the OK just try that one.

Got an error while updating Malwarebytes Anti-Malware software
Hello Suemore
The error you reported indicates that MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM) is somehow unable to access the Internet. First of all check out that you have a working Internet connection. To know more techniques to fix this issue my recommendation pay a visit this Techyv page" Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware error during installation".

If you receive that error when updating, it could be a problem with the program itself or with the installation. In Norton Internet Security before, whenever I receive an error with updating, I always fix it by reinstalling the program. In your case, try to uninstall and reinstall Malwarebytes. The updating of the antivirus is normally performed automatically by the program itself.
Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo then select Malwarebytes among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click to restart later. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds.
This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then restart the computer. After booting, download the free version of Malwarebytes or download the free trial of Malwarebytes for Windows.
