GPS track point error message

I was trying to set my track point to 387 this morning for a run but my GPS prompted that,

 "The track Drive to Assabet River boat launch contains 387 trackpoints. Your Gamin eTrex can only hold 250 points per saved track. Remove some points or split the track into smaller sections. " Game eTrex can only hold 250 points per saved track. Remove some points or split the track into smaller sections.

Since 387 is greater than 250 how will I be able to change the track points? I do not want to split the track to smaller sections.  Is there any other way?

Any suggestion?

GPS track point error message

Jeanne,

GPS tracks can be edited online.  Download it for free, using GPS App account.  Just create your account online and upload these tracks in three forms, which is GPS Exchange Format or KML, which is the Keyhole Markup Language and lastly the Training Center Database.

In that way you can edit tracks at any point, or add a new tracking point, as well as reverse these tracks, alter point’s by editing the altitude, longitude as well as the latitude.  You can also edit a name and your tracks description and sort them, by date or names.

After editing these tracks, use GPS Utility device to export them back to your device.
