I felt excited when I learned about the Ground Wave Shadow smart dancing shoes that you can connect to your smart phone. Can the application record your dance moves? How can it show or determine you are doing the moves correctly? Is this just for exercise monitoring?

GroundWave Shadow Sneaker was created by Tom Sykes, an industrial designer as his final year project.
It is a combination of smart shoes with a smart phone. It has a built in accelerometer sensors inside the sole which tracks every movement of the wearer and connects to a smartphone with a special app loaded with dance moves, which gives the wearer a live feedback. As you step, slide or turn the moves are compared in real time with feedback about what you should be doing.
The app is going to have a social platform where the GroundWave Shadow users can record there dance moves and share their achievements and scores, or send challenges to other GroundWave Shadow users.
The aim of this product is not just monitoring exercises but also teach you how to dance and find your groove in an exciting way.
GroundWave Shadow Sneaker is still a design concept only as the designer Tom has built only one model to examine whether it works or not and the result is positive so we hope soon GroundWave Shadows will come into reality.
