Hello, I have a website on HTML and CSS. To avoid complexity, I want to transfer its hosting and data to WordPress. Can anyone help me simplest way of transferring hosted exchange and website to WordPress. Have nice time!

Hi Wayne,

 

Importing a website to WordPress is certainly not a walk in the park. Here are some guidelines on converting your website to WordPress.

 

• Before you start the transfer, make a full backup of your current website. 
• WordPress does not run efficiently on most Windows servers, so verify that your current website is hosted on a Linux server.
• Setup page layout using CSS styles with no tables.
• Permalinks for every post and page on your site should be search engine friendly.
• For improved performance, add SEO and security plugins.
• Make sure your HTML and CSS are up to date.
• Add RSS subscription icon.
• You will have to export all content pages from your online database and import into WordPress.
