The hard disk produces a tick sound
Hello,
Every time I start my PC, the hard disk produces a tick sound. It is not detected in the BIOS set up. I am clueless on what the problem is. Who has any idea and how do I rectify it?
Thanks a lot.

Hello.
1. The tick could be as a result of a bad sector located in the hard disk. Scan your system to fix this.
2. It could happen when a hard disk is getting spoilt. It may be old and needs replacing.
3. It could happen as a result of a faulty operating system.
To fix it
-scan your system with system scan.
-upgrade your antivirus and scan your system for any virus.
-restore your system to a previous time.
If all these fails, consult a system engineer. Consider replacing your hard drive too.
I hope I’ve been of assistance.
First of all, you need to consider backing your data first. Use a recovery tool if needed. And then try to take the hard disk out of your CPU and then insert it on another CPU and see if the problem still occurred. If you find that your BIOS can't still detect your hard disk then you need to replace it with a new one. But if your old hard drive is still under warranty, you can bring it back to your manufacturer and ask for a replacement.
