Hardware Conflicts of Sound Card Devices
Attach the soundcard on one of the available slots in your CPU. Then boot Windows. The Operating System will automatically detect the attached device and asks you for its driver. Just load the CD that comes with your soundcard on the CD-ROM and follow the steps. If Windows did not detect your device after booting up, you may want to try adding it manually:
-
Click Start, then Control Panel.
-
Click on Printers and Other Hardware. On the left side under See Also, click Add Hardware.
-
Click Next on the dialog box. Wait for the Add Hardware Wizard to finish scanning your system for attached devices.
-
Under Have you already connected this hardware to your computer, choose Yes, I have already connected the hardware. Click Next afterwards.
-
Click your soundcard on the list of attached devices. If you did not see it, click the Add a new hardware device at the very bottom of the list. Then follow the succeeding steps.
If Windows failed to detect your audio card, shutdown your computer then transfer the card to another slot. Then repeat the procedure. If Windows did not find your audio card, maybe it’s already not functioning. You cannot install its driver if Windows cannot detect it.
Hardware Conflicts of Sound Card Devices
You have to plug your sound card and connect your computer to internet. Then go to my computer properties click on device manager. a window will open and you have to click on the sound under sound and video device. double click on the sound devices a new window will be open. which showing your sound card window. what you have to do is to update your sound card. when you click on update driver, a dialog box will be open which will display to option select the option " Automatically choose the driver " select that and click next. this will install your required driver.

In my opinion, to instantly install the correct patch of driver, you can to try download "Driver Genius Professional Edition". I was have a problem like you which is my DVD external can't detect in my laptop which is the driver isn't installed correctly. So I tried to installed this application and it works for me until now.
