I have a social & games website where I have a lot of internet games for people to play and socialize over. But it is lacking chat. So I need to support chat with script written in PHP 4 (it's an old site). Are there any scripts available out there?

Since your site is old and PHP 4 compatible, I suggest you try out BlaB!

It’s a very popular freeware and it seems to be perfect for you.

Moreover it’s supported by almost every browser and requires no flash or java to execute.
