Having trouble installing Microsoft Office 2010 on Windows XP SP1

Hello Smith. Unfortunately, Microsoft Office 2010 is not compatible with Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1. Right now, it becomes a matter of practicality for you.

Which would be cheaper? Buying and installing Windows Service Pack 3, or buying an older version of Microsoft Office which is highly compatible with Windows service pack 1?

To help you along, listed prices at amazon.com for Windows XP Service Pack 3 stand at $ 99.99 while Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2007 is at $ 89 to $ 191.70.

If you want to keep your Microsoft Office 2010, then by all means, go and buy Windows XP Service Pack 3.

However, if you prefer to keep your current operating system, then you should look to buying older versions of Microsoft Office.

For your reference, prices quoted above were taken from Amazon.com.

Hope this helps.
