Hi all,
1 week before I bought a Nexus 5. It worked pretty well in the beginning.
After that I faced some issues with this. When I call somebody the receiver can't hear me properly. I have to talk very loudly, then only he is able to hear my voice. So I called customer care and he suggested to reset it to factory settings. I did that, but no use in that. I am very much frustrated about this issue.
Is this problem related to mobile software or some other issues? Can somebody please suggest me to resolve this issue. Thanks!
Hearing issue with my Nexus5 mobile
Keith,
Some of this Nexus 5 phones have factory problems related to the MIC inside. Sometimes a hard reset fixes the problem, but it depends on the phone itself. Factory reset is different from Hard Reset. The Hard reset erases all including SD card and updates made to the factory installed software. You will have your phone as when you opened the box
Below you will find again the hard reset procedure just to be sure it is the same you already performed. I suggest  that if this does not work, you should ask for a warranty replacement.
Remember that performing  these steps  will erase  all of your information, so you should better back it up previously.
-
Turn on your Nexus 5. Press and hold the Volume Down key when you see the Google logo, release it when the device vibrates.
-
Highlight Recovery Menu with the volume keys and press the Power button to select. You will enter to a screen with an Android on its back.
-
Press and hold the Volume Up key for 5 secs, release it and a new menu will come up.Â
-
Use the volume keys to select Wipe Cache Partition. This will cause your phone to restart.
-
Once this is done, re-do the previous steps to get back to the same screen (the one that Wipe Cache Partition was on).
-
Highlight Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select using the Power key. Scroll down to Yes, Delete All Data and press the Power button again to select.
-
Your Nexus 5 will now wipe your data and reformat. Press the Power button to select Reboot System Now on the next screen.
