Help on how to monitor modem traffic for a laptop

So I have two computers, and a ADSL modem.

What I want to do, is see exactly what is happening on my other PC, placed in another room.

I asked a friend and he said that I should look for SNMP software. Well I am no expert so I have no idea what he is talking about.

That is why I came to TechyV, hoping that you people will give me some ideas on how to monitor modem traffic in a simple way, if it is possible.

Please explain it to me step by step as I don't have a very good knowledge in the IT area.

Help on how to monitor modem traffic for a laptop

There is a util namely NET Traffic Meter which can be used for monitoring the traffic across network while gathering stats for analysis. The real time details on the network traffic or the settings of the modem can be obtained.It also helps to personalise the profiles based on the usage and results can be represented graphically if need be apart from exporting them to a document-type based on our requirement.
