Help! I can't activate my Win 7 Office. I entered the product number which was written on the face of the sticker with my PC. However, a notification would show the product number. I entered the product number again and again but to no avail. What should I do?
Help! I can’t activate my Win 7 Office.
You should check that you are entering the number in the correct format. Check that you are doing the following things right:
-
If the are any texts that have been used in the product key and they are in the capital text format, then you should make sure that you have turned on the caps lock key on the keyboard when entering the capital text. For small texts make sure that the caps lock is off.
-
In case there are any spaces or hyphens that have been used to separate the product key, then make sure that you are entering them well, because any slight mistake in how you enter them will cause a problem.
-
Also make sure that you are not confusing some numbers with texts and texts with numbers, and neither should you leave out in any number or character when entering the product key.

Ensure that you have the correct MS Office installed. It is possible that your computer has a pre-installed MS Office with a different version and multiple MS Office installations can cause a problem. To make sure:
– Go to Control Panel, Under "Programs" select "Uninstall a program", look for any Microsoft Office programs and uninstall it, restart the computer. Reinstall your MS Office and try to activate using your product key.
If you have a cd/dvd installer of MS Office, make sure that your internet connection is not interrupted during activation. Also double check if the product characters are entered accurately.
Or you can call 1-800-426-9400 for Microsoft phone support.
